About

Holy Trinity National School is a co‑educational, Roman Catholic primary school situated in Glencairn, Leopardstown, Dublin. It operates under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin and the Department of Education and Skills, offering three classes at each level from Junior Infants to 6th class. The school’s ethos is built on a vibrant, supportive and inclusive community where children experience a broad and rich curriculum in a happy, safe and nurturing atmosphere. The school places a strong emphasis on personal development, encouraging pupils to become considerate, responsible members of society who understand their rights and can act with confidence. Partnership with parents and guardians is central to the school’s approach, fostering a collaborative team‑work environment that aims to help every child achieve their full potential. The modern, state‑of‑the‑art facilities, completed in 2014, provide a well‑organised setting for learning, behaviour, and extracurricular activities, reinforcing the school’s commitment to high academic standards and holistic development.

History

Holy Trinity National School was established in 2005, initially opening its doors in the parish rooms of St Mary’s Church, Sandyford on 1 September 2005 under founder and first chairperson Fr Eamann Cahill, with James Tobin appointed as Principal. On 31 March 2006 the school moved to a three‑unit prefab on the current site. Construction of the permanent building began on 8 July 2013, and the brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art school building was completed in December 2014.
