About
Kildare Place National School (KPS) is a co‑educational primary school in Dublin operating under the patronage and management of the Church of Ireland. It welcomes pupils from Junior Infants to 6th class and promotes an inclusive community where every child is valued regardless of sex, social background, religious belief, sexual orientation, family circumstances or ability. The school’s ethos is built on moral values such as honesty, fairness, justice and civic responsibility, all interpreted through Biblical teaching while respecting the diversity of its community. The curriculum places Religious Education at the centre of learning, following the Board of Education of the Synod of the Church of Ireland, and is complemented by a broad programme of extracurricular activities, including a swimming squad and charitable events. Governance is provided by a Board of Management and a Parent‑Teacher Association, and the school maintains close ties with Holy Trinity Church, Rathmines, where pupils attend services and the Rector/Curate join assemblies. This partnership creates a caring, supportive environment that nurtures spiritual, moral, intellectual and social development.
