About
Knockskeagh National School is a Catholic primary school situated in the heart of the Knockskeagh community, serving as a central hub for children, families, staff and the wider parish. The school’s ethos is built around “Celebrating Children, Difference and Learning”, with a clear focus on nurturing the moral, spiritual, physical, academic, aesthetic and cultural development of each pupil. Guided by a shared Vision Statement, the school strives to create a safe, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels accepted, respected and encouraged to reach their full potential. A broad and varied co‑curricular programme underpins the academic curriculum, offering activities such as gymnastics, camogie, hurling, rugby, GAA, soccer, basketball, chess, debating, taekwondo and many more. These opportunities promote teamwork, confidence and a love of sport and the arts. The school is supported by an active Parents’ Association and a proactive Board of Management, both of which help to provide additional resources, extra‑curricular events and a well‑maintained, child‑friendly environment, including a structured traffic control routine for safe arrivals and departures.
History
