About
Malahide & Portmarnock Educate Together Secondary School (MPETSS) is a co‑educational, inclusive secondary school situated in the Swords Enterprise Centre, Feltrim Road, Drinan, Swords. Since opening its doors in August 2018, the school has positioned itself as a creative hub where teachers act as facilitators and students learn through inquiry, trial and error and collaborative problem‑solving. The curriculum balances the Junior and Senior cycles with a strong emphasis on 21st‑century skills – critical thinking, entrepreneurship, innovation and digital literacy – preparing pupils for further education, employment and active citizenship. The school’s ethos is built around the student voice, partnership and community engagement. It maintains a range of strategic partnerships, including the Gaiety School of Acting, Bridge 21 (Trinity College), the Digital Excellence Schools Cluster, the Fingal Student Enterprise Programme and the Fingal County Council Sports Programme. These collaborations enrich the learning environment and provide pathways into the arts, STEM, enterprise and sport. A broad extra‑curricular programme is offered, featuring clubs such as archery, basketball, debating, GAA, drama, and a dedicated STEM Club, alongside initiatives like Green School, Localise youth volunteering and Neat Streets, fostering holistic development and wellbeing.
