Marist Primary School is a Catholic national school situated in the Lower Crumlin area of Dublin, founded in 1959 to serve St Bernadette’s Parish. The school is owned by the Marist Sisters, whose congregation remains deeply involved in the life of the school and its wider community. It welcomes children from early start (preschool) through to 6th Class, providing a nurturing environment that values each child equally and aims to develop their social, academic, emotional, physical and spiritual potential. The school boasts a broad range of facilities designed to support a modern, active curriculum. These include a dedicated PE hall, a well‑stocked library, a computer room equipped with iPads, a sensory garden and sensory room, a raised vegetable garden and extensive playing fields. A strong emphasis is placed on extra‑curricular provision, with opportunities in drama, music and a variety of sports such as soccer, badminton, tennis, Gaelic football, camogie and basketball. Marist Primary is recognised as an “Active School” and a “Green School”, having earned green flags for initiatives on litter and waste, energy, water, travel and biodiversity. With a pupil population of approximately 283 and a staff complement of over 20 educators and support personnel, the school maintains high standards of care and learning. History
Marist Primary School was built in 1959 to serve St Bernadette’s Parish in the Lower Crumlin area. The Marist Sisters act as trustees and have remained committed to the school and its community since its establishment.
