About
Midleton Educate Together National School is a co‑educational, multi‑denominational primary school that follows the Educate Together ethos of equality, respect, and child‑centred learning. The school provides a broad, balanced curriculum that encourages pupils to develop academically, socially and emotionally, with a strong emphasis on inclusive values and community participation. Daily assemblies and a clear set of school values reinforce a supportive environment where every child is empowered to become the best version of themselves. Since moving into its purpose‑built premises in Broomfield West in August 2017, the school benefits from spacious, well‑equipped classrooms, modern learning resources and dedicated areas for creative and scientific exploration. The campus supports a vibrant school life, featuring specialised facilities for hands‑on activities such as maths and science weeks, as well as a range of extracurricular programmes that foster curiosity and collaboration. A distinctive feature of the school is the Bláthú provision – specialised classes for children with autism that promote integration with mainstream classes where appropriate. With over 580 pupils, the school community is diverse and inclusive, offering a nurturing setting where friendships are forged, learning thrives and pupils flourish in line with the school’s core values.
History
Midleton Educate Together National School opened its doors on 28 August 2008, thanks to the dedication of its patron and a start‑up group that secured its sanction. The school grew steadily and, in August 2017, moved into a new permanent building in Broomfield West, providing spacious, well‑equipped facilities to support its expanding enrolment.
