About
The North Dublin National School Project (NDNSP) is a co‑educational, child‑centred primary school situated on Ballymun Road, Dublin 9. It serves a vibrant community of 228 pupils, offering a single class from Junior Infants through to 6th Class. The school operates on a multi‑denominational ethos, delivering a specially devised religious and ethical education curriculum that respects and celebrates a wide range of cultural and faith backgrounds. Central to its philosophy are four charter tenets: universal access and respect for all social, cultural and religious groups; the encouragement of each child to explore their full range of abilities; a child‑centred approach to learning; and democratic governance that invites active parental participation while upholding the professional role of teachers. The learning environment is designed to support holistic development, with dedicated spaces for indoor and outdoor activities such as bike‑week events, Aistear (early childhood) programmes, STEM projects, and cultural celebrations. Regular assemblies, arts and crafts, and inclusive projects foster resilience, creativity and community spirit. The school’s democratic structure ensures that parents are involved in daily decision‑making, creating a collaborative atmosphere that underpins academic achievement and personal growth.
