State‑of‑the‑art facilities support both academic learning and extracurricular pursuits, while a robust pastoral care system ensures the dignity and wellbeing of every student. Partnerships with parents, staff and the wider Dublin 8 community reinforce a collaborative ethos, promoting respect, equality and support for learners with special educational needs.
History
Founded in 1892, Warrenmount occupies a Georgian house originally built in the late 18th century for Nathaniel Warren, later High Sheriff and Lord Mayor of Dublin. The house became the Carmelite convent “St Teresa’s” in 1813, where a school for local girls was established. After the Carmelites withdrew in 1891, the Presentation Sisters took over on 5 May 1892, inheriting a thriving school of 425 pupils. The secondary “Top” programme was introduced in 1944, expanding the school’s provision for post‑primary education.
