Red Hill School is a co‑educational special school situated in Patrickswell, County Limerick, dedicated to pupils with autistic spectrum disorder and complex needs. Since its opening in 2008, the school has focused on delivering high‑quality, individualised education programmes that cater to each child’s unique learning profile. The curriculum is designed to promote communication, social interaction, sensory integration and academic development, drawing on a range of therapeutic and educational strategies to support progress across a variety of domains. The school’s campus comprises a series of purpose‑built classrooms, each named to create a welcoming environment – Saplings, Willow, Elm, Sequoia, Oak, Cypress, Cedar, Aspen, Sycamore, Pine, Laurel and Beech. These spaces are equipped with specialised resources and adaptive technologies to facilitate personalised learning and sensory activities. Enrichment opportunities, such as live webcam sessions from Dublin Zoo, are incorporated to broaden pupils’ experiences and encourage engagement with the wider world.
