History

Rosary College was founded in 1966 by the Religious Sisters of Charity to provide second‑level education for teenage girls in Dublin 12. The school entered the Free Scheme in the late 1960s and the current building was completed in 1968. Following the closure of a nearby boys’ school, the college began admitting boys in 2004, becoming a co‑educational institution. Today the school enrols around 200 students.
