About
Scoil Mhuire, Clondra is a co‑educational Catholic primary school situated in the picturesque village of Clondra, County Longford, on the banks of the Royal Canal and close to the River Shannon. Operating under the patronage of the Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnoise, the school serves the local community with a commitment to a caring, happy and secure learning environment. The ethos promotes equality, respect and responsibility, encouraging pupils to develop personally, socially, mentally and physically while preparing them for lifelong learning. The school’s facilities include four spacious classrooms, dedicated learning‑support and resource rooms, a GP room, a main office, a library and ample storage. An extensive yard provides outdoor space for play and sport. In line with its modern educational approach, each classroom is equipped with interactive whiteboards and all pupils have access to laptops or Chromebooks, integrating information technology into daily teaching. A team of mainstream teachers together with a Special Education Teacher supports the diverse needs of the student body, fostering an inclusive atmosphere where every child can thrive.
