About
Scoil Pádraig Naofa, Corrabheagáin is a mixed, rural primary school situated two miles from the village of Knockmore and five miles from Ballina town in County Mayo. The school operates within a Catholic ethos under the patronage of Bishop John Fleming of the Diocese of Killala, while warmly welcoming pupils of all faiths and promoting religious tolerance. A strong partnership between the board of management, parents, teachers and the local community creates a supportive environment where academic excellence and personal development are central to the school’s mission. The curriculum is broad and balanced, designed to cater for the diverse abilities and cultural backgrounds of its pupils. Emphasis is placed on nurturing each child’s unique gifts, with a range of extracurricular activities such as art, music, sport (including an annual 5 km fun run) and after‑school programmes enriching the learning experience. Facilities were expanded in 1975 to include a multi‑purpose room, additional classrooms and a staff‑room, providing modern spaces for both teaching and community events.
