About
Scoil Chiaráin C.B.S. is a fully inclusive, all‑boys secondary school catering for students from 2nd to 6th year, together with three dedicated ASD outreach classes for younger boys. As an Edmund Rice school, it embraces the founder’s legacy of social justice, partnership and caring community, encouraging every pupil to develop academically, artistically and athletically while nurturing a strong sense of moral responsibility. The school’s ethos promotes teamwork, with every voice valued, and provides a supportive environment where pupils can explore and enhance their talents through a broad curriculum that includes robust STEM provision, drama, music, Gaelic culture and a vibrant sporting tradition. The campus offers specialised facilities for the ASD classes, a range of extracurricular clubs such as the DCU Changemaker programme, active‑school initiatives and a well‑equipped sports programme that underpins the school’s strong sporting heritage. Pupils are encouraged to become transformational leaders, caring for the environment and advocating for those without a voice, reflecting the five key elements of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust Charter: nurturing faith, partnership, excellence in teaching and learning, a caring community and inspirational leadership.
