About
Scoil Chlíodhna Community National School is a co‑educational, multi‑denominational primary school serving children from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. The school follows the Irish Primary School Curriculum under the patronage of the Cork Education and Training Board, delivering a child‑centred, inclusive education that nurtures academic, social, emotional, spiritual and physical development. A strong emphasis is placed on literacy and numeracy from the first day, alongside a broad programme of music, drama, visual arts, dance and physical fitness, fostering a love of the arts and a healthy lifestyle. In October 2023 the school relocated to a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art building on Station Road, providing modern classrooms, specialist learning spaces and facilities that support innovative teaching and collaborative learning. The school’s ethos, “Ní neart go cur le chéile” (There is no strength without unity), underpins a supportive, caring environment where strong links between home and school are actively encouraged. Partnerships with local businesses and sports clubs further enrich the learning experience and embed the school within the wider community.
History

After operating in its original premises for several years, the school moved into a new, purpose‑built facility on Station Road in October 2023, providing enhanced learning environments for its students.
