History
Scoil Chonglais was established in 1982 in Baltinglass to meet the growing educational needs of the local community. Originally housed in a vocational school, the college moved to a larger campus on Kiltegan Road, allowing for expanded facilities and a broader curriculum. Over the decades the school has maintained a focus on academic excellence, personal development and community engagement, offering Junior and Senior Cycle programmes, L2 Learning, Transition Year and Leaving Cert Applied. Initiatives such as an outdoor classroom and a biodiversity B&B for birds and bugs reflect its ongoing commitment to environmental awareness and holistic education.
