History
Scoil Íosagáin opened on 1 September 2025 as the result of an amalgamation between Presentation Convent National School and Castlecomer Boys National School. Castlecomer Boys National School was established in 1939, while the Presentation Sisters have been involved in education in Castlecomer since 1829, constructing the current school building in 1965. The new school builds on these historic foundations to serve the local community.
