Scoil Mháthair Dé is a mainstream primary school that embraces a richly multicultural community, representing pupils from over 46 countries. The school’s ethos centres on respect, kindness and the belief that every child should reach their full potential. A strong emphasis is placed on academic progress and personal well‑being, with classroom policies designed to support both learning and social development. The school offers a broad range of extracurricular activities, including Gaelic football, soccer, chess and choir, encouraging pupils to explore interests beyond the core curriculum. Four specialist classes cater for additional needs – two for pupils with autism and two for those with specific speech and language difficulties (SLSD) – ensuring inclusive provision for all learners. A vibrant Parents Association works closely with staff and the Board of Management to foster a supportive partnership that enhances the educational experience.
