History
Scoil Mhuire na Trócaire has served the town of Ardee since its founding in 1956. Originally an all‑girls school, it transitioned to a co‑educational model in 2022 when boys were first admitted to Junior Infants. By September 2025 the school accommodated both genders in Junior Infants, Senior Infants, 1st Class and 2nd Class, with a total roll of 339 pupils, and aims to be fully co‑educational in all classes by 2029.
