About
Clocha Rince National School is a Catholic, co‑educational primary school situated in the rural countryside of Clogherinkoe, County Kildare. Operating under the Department of Education and Skills guidelines and the Kildare and Leighlin Diocese, the school provides a caring, inclusive learning environment for children from the parish of Balyna, the town of Edenderry and surrounding areas. The ethos combines a strong Catholic tradition with a commitment to diversity, encouraging respect, kindness and curiosity among pupils. The school boasts a range of facilities that support both academic and personal development. A branch of the Kildare County Council Library on the campus offers a public resource that has been recognised with a Taoiseach’s Award, providing extensive reading material and digital access. An on‑site autism unit, Tír na nÓg, comprises two specialised classrooms for pupils on the autistic spectrum, supported by a “Yard Buddies” volunteer scheme. Additional amenities include a fully equipped sports hall, a networked ICT suite with computers, Chromebooks and tablets, and dedicated spaces for creative and physical activities, all designed to promote an active, holistic education. Strong links with the local community and a collaborative partnership with parents underpin the school’s approach. By fostering positive relationships between staff, families and community members, the school aims to equip each child with the skills and confidence required to meet the challenges of an ever‑changing world.
