About

Scoil Naisiunta Chuilinn Uí Chaoimh is a Roman Catholic national school situated in the tranquil townland of Mullaghroe North, opposite the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Cullen, County Cork. The school serves a mixed junior infant, senior infant and primary cohort and operates from 9:20 am to 3 pm (2 pm for infants), with a structured morning and lunch break. Its uniform reflects the local GAA colours, featuring navy tracksuit tops or sweaters, navy leggings or trousers and a yellow/harvest‑gold polo shirt. The campus, opened on 1 September 2011, is a purpose‑built, south‑facing complex that benefits from abundant natural light. It comprises four spacious classrooms equipped with modern IT infrastructure, fast fibre broadband, and dedicated SEN workstations with counter‑top facilities. An expansive purpose hall with an adjoining servery/kitchen, a walk‑in PE storage room and an indoor toys area support a wide range of curricular and extracurricular activities. Additional provisions include three specialised special‑education rooms, a staffroom, and extensive ancillary storage. Cherryblossoms Childcare Ltd. provides before‑ and after‑school care, a breakfast club, homework club and preschool sessions, operating daily from 7 am to 6:30 pm. The school’s inclusive ethos is reinforced by EAL support and a commitment to the Government’s Primary Schoolbook Scheme and Hot School Meals, ensuring all pupils have access to learning resources and nutritious meals.
