About
Scoil Naisiunta Donaigh is a small, two‑teacher national school situated on the outskirts of Carndonagh, County Donegal. It serves a roll of 32 pupils who are drawn from the local area and surrounding villages such as Malin, Culdaff and Gleneely, with daily bus transport provided. The school operates under the patronage of the Church of Ireland but welcomes children of all faiths and none, and it maintains strong links with a variety of community groups. The learning environment is described as warm and welcoming, with classrooms designed to foster a love of learning. Pupils follow a full curriculum that includes a vibrant Irish language programme delivered through games, conversation and technology. A shared Special Education Teacher from Drumfries N.S. supports inclusive education. The school day runs from 9:20 am to 3:00 pm, with an optional 2:00‑3:00 pm club run by Spraoi and Spórt, eligible for discounts under the National Childcare Scheme. Uniforms consist of a green sweatshirt, navy polo, navy trousers/skirt/pinafore and appropriate black footwear. Scoil Naisiunta Donaigh is a registered charity (No. 20018047).
