Scoil Naomh Pádraig, Sáile is a mixed, Irish‑medium national school that follows the primary curriculum set out by the Department of Education and Science. The school provides a full‑time Irish language environment, with Irish used as the language of communication and school business, and offers dedicated support to ensure pupils can use the language naturally throughout the day. Its Catholic ethos is reflected in a curriculum that integrates religious education, fostering spiritual development alongside intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth. The school currently educates 41 children with two permanent teachers, a learning‑support teacher and part‑time staff, delivering a close‑knit community atmosphere. The day begins at 9.20 am; infants finish at 2.00 pm and all other classes at 3.00 pm. History
The school was founded in 1910 and has continued to serve the community of Sáile, Acaill, Co. Mhaigheo as a full‑Irish, Catholic primary school.
