About

Scoil Naisiunta Naomh Parthalan, known locally as Kinsalebeg National School, is a small rural primary school situated 8 km from Youghal in County Waterford. The school provides a Catholic co‑educational environment with a strong emphasis on the whole‑child approach, fostering continuous enjoyment of learning, creative thinking, effective communication, cooperative work and critical reasoning. Its curriculum is underpinned by a clear mission to develop pupils intellectually, physically, culturally, morally and spiritually, while encouraging respect for diverse cultural traditions and religious values. The school benefits from a modern 21st‑century building, expanded in 2018 with a new extension and renovated older sections, complemented by a safe car park and extensive outdoor grounds that allow children ample space for play and a developing school garden. Facilities include dedicated first‑aid trained staff, a mental‑health aware environment with a buddy bench, and a range of extracurricular programmes such as hurling, football, athletics, soccer, swimming, Irish dancing, hip‑hop, gymnastics and a successful chess club. The school also promotes healthy eating, environmental stewardship (holding five Green Flags), and a comprehensive SPHE programme.
