About
Scoil Naisiunta Naomh Pheadar is a Roman Catholic primary school situated in the picturesque town of Monasterevin, County Kildare. Under the patronage of the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin, the school aims to create a happy, caring and inclusive environment where pupils can engage fully in teaching and learning. A broad, balanced curriculum is delivered across the core subjects and a strong emphasis is placed on developing fundamental movement skills through a two‑year Physical Education plan. The school provides dedicated support for children with special educational needs, with a coordinated SEN team and a range of inclusion strategies to ensure every child can reach their full potential. The school is preparing for a major transition with the construction of a new, purpose‑built facility that will bring together the two local primary schools into a single, modern campus in September 2026. Phase one of the new building is already in use, offering contemporary classrooms and enhanced learning spaces. Daily routines run from 8:55 am to 2:35 pm and the school maintains a strong partnership with parents through an active Parents Council and regular communication of news, events and policies.
