A distinctive feature of Scoil Naomh Áine is its Special Class for children with autism, reflecting the school’s commitment to meeting diverse learning needs. Partnerships with parents are central to the school’s ethos, ensuring that each child receives the knowledge, skills, motivation and confidence required for future opportunities. The school’s active environment is complemented by regular news updates, community events and a strong presence on social media, reinforcing its role as a supportive hub for families in the local area.

History

Scoil Naomh Áine was founded in 1969 by the Presentation Sisters, who sought to continue the philosophy of Nano Nagle by promoting respect for self and others and sensitivity to individual needs. The school celebrated its 50th anniversary in March 2019. While the Presentation Sisters are no longer trustees, the school now operates under the trusteeship of the Dublin Diocese.
