About
Scoil Treasa Firhouse is a Catholic primary school situated in the parish of Firhouse, serving children from third to sixth class. The school currently educates approximately 430 pupils with a dedicated team of 32 staff members. Its ethos is built around providing a caring, happy and secure learning environment that nurtures the spiritual, physical, moral, cultural and intellectual development of each child. Emphasis is placed on pastoral care, fostering a strong sense of community, and encouraging pupils to realise their full potential in a friendly, Christian atmosphere. The curriculum is complemented by a wide range of extracurricular activities that promote both academic and personal growth. Pupils regularly engage in science experiments, STEM projects—including visits to industry partners such as Amazon HQ—sports programmes like basketball, and competitive events such as maths quizzes and school fairs. The school also values strong parent‑teacher relationships, clear communication, and a well‑defined code of behaviour that underpins fairness, respect and the development of self‑esteem. Facilities support these activities, with dedicated spaces for science, sport, and outdoor learning, including a school forest and pond.
