About
Scoil Ursula is a co‑educational Ursuline primary school situated in the village of Blackrock, County Cork, on the historic grounds of the former Ursuline Convent. Operating under the trusteeship of the Bishop of Cork, the school delivers a Catholic‑based education that embraces Christian values while respecting all faiths. Its ethos centres on enabling each child to develop their full potential, encouraging the use of unique gifts and talents within a caring, safe and challenging environment. The school boasts spacious, well‑maintained grounds and a modern, well‑equipped building that includes an on‑site pre‑school, a school garden and dedicated ICT facilities. Small class sizes and a committed teaching staff support personalised learning, while a broad programme of in‑school and extra‑curricular activities – ranging from STEM weeks and music generation to sports, Irish dancing and a student council – enriches the pupil experience. The daily timetable runs from 8.50 am to 1.30 pm for junior and senior infants and to 2.30 pm for older classes, with structured break and lunch periods.
