About
St. Joseph’s National School, Bonniconlon is a Catholic, co‑educational primary school serving roughly 73 children aged four to twelve. The school delivers a child‑centred curriculum that balances academic learning with the development of physical, cultural, moral, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Daily Catholic religion lessons are complemented by inclusive activities for pupils of other faiths, fostering respect for diversity while encouraging each child to reach their full potential academically, spiritually, physically and emotionally. The learning environment is well‑equipped, with a computer in every classroom, laptop trolleys, interactive whiteboards and desktop computers, as well as dedicated science equipment and musical resources. Extensive outdoor facilities include large play areas, a basketball court and football pitches, supporting a broad range of sporting and recreational activities. Healthy lunches are provided, and a structured timetable offers two short break periods and a consistent homework routine (four days per week), reinforcing a balanced and supportive educational experience.
