About
St. Teresa’s Primary School, Balbriggan, is a co‑educational primary school serving roughly 450 pupils across 17 classes from Junior Infants to 6th class, together with a dedicated special class for children in the MGLD (moderate general learning difficulties) range. The school’s ethos centres on the full and harmonious development of each pupil, fostering intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual growth through a balanced programme of learning and collaborative activity. Teaching hours run from 9.00 am to 1.40 pm for Junior and Senior Infants and from 9.00 am to 2.40 pm for 1st to 6th classes, providing a structured yet flexible timetable that supports both academic and extracurricular pursuits. The school places a strong emphasis on community involvement and parental partnership. A Home School Liaison Co‑ordinator (HSCL) coordinates a range of initiatives, including seasonal maths and reading events, motivational morning walks, in‑school cooking and crafting sessions, and parent‑focused workshops such as flower arranging and gardening. Regular coffee mornings and other social gatherings further strengthen the link between families and the school community. Facilities include a virtual tour of the premises, a dedicated Parents’ Room near the school’s roundabout, and spaces designed to accommodate both mainstream and special‑needs education. The school actively promotes enrolment for upcoming years, currently inviting applications for Junior Infants commencing September 2026, and maintains an inclusive, supportive environment for all learners.
