About
Solas Hospital School is a specialist educational provision that has been delivering learning experiences to the children of Crumlin Children’s Hospital for more than six decades. Drawing on a long‑standing partnership with the hospital, the school offers a curriculum that is adapted to the unique health‑related needs of its pupils, ensuring continuity of education while they receive medical care. The learning environment is designed to be flexible and supportive, with resources and facilities that can be accessed within the hospital setting, allowing children to study in a familiar and comfortable space. In recent years the school has embraced a multi‑denominational ethos, reflected in its recent name change to better represent an inclusive approach to faith and belief. This ethos underpins a welcoming community that respects the diverse backgrounds of its pupils and families, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect. The school’s commitment to high‑quality teaching, personalised support and collaborative work with healthcare professionals aims to promote both academic progress and personal development for each child.
