About
South Lee Educate Together National School is a co‑educational primary school situated on the grounds of Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa, Tramore Road, Cork. Since opening in August 2019, the school has embraced the Educate Together ethos, delivering a democratic, inclusive and child‑centred curriculum that values equality, respect and active participation. Learning is organised thematically across twelve subject areas, with a strong emphasis on discovery‑based approaches, play‑based learning (Aistear) and the “Learn Anywhere, Learn Anytime” (LALA) philosophy, encouraging pupils to become confident, curious and independent thinkers. The school provides a supportive environment for all learners, including dedicated Junior and Senior Autism classes that maintain a 6:1 pupil‑teacher ratio and are assisted by two Additional Needs Assistants per class. A broad range of extra‑curricular provision underpins the holistic ethos, featuring outdoor learning, a school and community garden, music, yoga, physical education and Green Schools initiatives. Partnerships with parents are central, fostering positive relationships and shared responsibility for wellbeing, which is positioned as the core mission of the school community.
