About
St. Angela’s College is a voluntary secondary school for girls situated in the heart of Cork city, operating under the trusteeship of the Le Chéile Catholic Schools Trust and the Ursuline tradition. The college welcomes pupils from across the city, its suburbs and the surrounding hinterland, creating a vibrant mix of urban and rural perspectives that enriches the school community. Its ethos is rooted in the values of the Ursuline Sisters and the teachings of the foundress, Angela Merici, with a strong emphasis on courtesy, kindness and respect, and a commitment to fostering the spiritual, academic and personal development of each student. Following a major refurbishment in 2016, the school now occupies modern, state‑of‑the‑art facilities on its original site on St Patrick’s Hill, providing specialised learning spaces for a broad curriculum that includes Junior and Senior Cycle subjects, Technical Graphics, Economics, Agricultural Science and a Nurture programme aimed at student wellbeing. Alongside academic excellence, the college offers a wide range of sporting, cultural and pastoral activities, encouraging holistic growth and preparing students for further education and life beyond school.
