About
St. Attracta’s Junior School is a co‑educational Catholic junior national school situated in Meadowbrook, Dundrum, Dublin 16, at the foothills of the Dublin Mountains. The school embraces an inclusive ethos that respects pupils of all persuasions while maintaining its Catholic values. It promotes a partnership approach with parents, recognising them as the primary educators, and aims to balance high academic standards with the social, personal and moral development of each child. The learning environment is modern and well‑resourced: every classroom has its own self‑contained toilet facilities, a wet area for artwork and lunchtime activities, a Promethean interactive whiteboard, a well‑stocked class library and computers. A wide range of educational materials supports maths, language development and constructive play. The school positions itself as a learning organisation open to change and innovation, while cherishing the cultural and religious traditions of Irish society.
History
St. Attracta’s Junior School was established in 1977 to provide a Catholic education for girls and boys from Junior Infants to Second Class.
