About

St Brigid’s Infant National School is a mixed, Roman‑Catholic infant school situated on Wellmount Avenue, Finglas West, Dublin 11. It caters for children aged four to eight in Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class, and also runs two Early Start rooms for 3‑ to 5‑year‑olds and two Junior Autism classes for pupils with an autism diagnosis. The school’s ethos is centred on the holistic development of each child – academic, moral, spiritual and creative – and it places a strong emphasis on partnership with parents, the local community and professional agencies to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. The school offers a range of modern facilities to support learning and play, including a well‑stocked library, a hall, an outdoor green area, a polytunnel and dedicated gardening zone, as well as two yards equipped with varied play equipment. Classrooms are fitted with interactive whiteboards and class sets of tablets, and the school provides a free breakfast club, free school meals, snacks, water, milk and fruit, as well as free books and stationery. Extra‑curricular opportunities such as art clubs, a summer camp and a “Just Dance” dance‑off further enrich the children’s experience.
