History

St Colmcille’s Community School was founded in the year 2000 on a greenfield site on Scholarstown Road, Knocklyon. The school was created to retain the area’s young people locally and was established with the Carmelite community acting as trustees, providing spiritual guidance and contributing to the school’s ethos. Since its inception, the school has grown into a modern, purpose‑built facility that continues to serve the local community.
