About
South City Community National School is a co‑educational, multi‑denominational DEIS (Delivering Equality of Opportunity in Schools) primary school under the patronage of the City of Dublin Education and Training Board. The school provides education for children from Junior Infants to Sixth Class and aims to create a safe, calm, respectful and inclusive learning environment. Its vision emphasises partnership with families and the wider community to develop skills that enable pupils to reach their full potential academically and socially, while fostering holistic development, empathy and a strong sense of belonging. The school operates a free‑of‑charge breakfast club for all pupils and maintains close links with local after‑school organisations such as the YMCA and SICCDA. A range of extracurricular clubs are run on‑site, including Lego, football, art and crafts, and choir. Situated in the heart of Dublin city centre, South City is a Trinity Access School and collaborates with a variety of partners including Solas, The Arc, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and the School Completion Programme, enhancing learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
History
Previously known as St Enda’s Primary School, the institution divested in July 2023 to become South City Community National School, a community national school, in order to better represent its diverse school community.
