History
Saint Fiachra’s Senior National School opened its doors on 1 July 1978. The inaugural leadership team comprised the first Principal and Deputy Principal, supported by a small teaching staff of five who catered for 152 children. Since those humble beginnings the school has expanded considerably and now educates approximately 630 pupils from 3rd to 6th class, employing 36 teachers and five special‑needs assistants. The school serves the greater Beaumont community and, owing to its proximity to Beaumont Hospital, also welcomes children of hospital staff, reflecting a diverse and inclusive pupil body.
