About
St. Francis Xavier Junior National School is a co‑educational junior school situated in the heart of the Roselawn community. It caters for roughly 390 pupils (2025‑2026) across Junior Infants, Senior Infants, First, and Second classes, as well as a dedicated ASD class. The school operates under a Catholic ethos and the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin, placing the child at the centre of its educational mission. A holistic approach is promoted, aiming to develop each child’s academic, social and spiritual potential within a safe, happy and stimulating environment. The curriculum is enriched by a strong emphasis on STEM, active‑school initiatives and environmental stewardship, reflected in recent awards such as the ISPCC Shield Flag, NPC Innovation prize, Green Flags and Active School recognition. A wide range of after‑school clubs and extracurricular activities support the development of broader skills and interests. The school benefits from a well‑qualified staff team, including specialist special‑education support, and maintains close collaboration with parents, the Parents Association and the Board of Management to ensure a supportive community for learning.
