About
St. Kilian’s Senior National School is a co‑educational, Catholic primary school operating under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin. It welcomes pupils from Third to Sixth Class and provides a curriculum that seeks to develop each child academically, physically, emotionally, spiritually and socially. The school’s vision describes it as a “caring, living school” where every child, regardless of ability, is given equal opportunity to reach their full potential within a climate of positive co‑operation involving pupils, teachers, support staff, parents, the Board of Management, the Parents’ Association and clergy. The school day runs from 8:50 am to 2:30 pm and includes a range of supportive policies to promote a safe and healthy learning environment. Pupils are encouraged to bring a hand towel, enjoy healthy lunches (chewing gum is prohibited) and participate in a book‑rental scheme that supplements the annual booklists issued each June. The school also prioritises professional development, with two on‑site Primary Curriculum Framework training days scheduled for 2 March and 25 May 2026. A clear charter outlines pupils’ rights and responsibilities, reinforcing a respectful and inclusive community ethos.
