About

St Mary’s Junior National School is a Roman Catholic primary school situated in Rowlagh, Clondalkin, Dublin 22. Under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin, the school’s ethos is centred on the holistic development of each pupil, nurturing intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual growth while fostering a living relationship with God and the wider community. The school describes itself as a busy but friendly environment, offering a varied programme of activities across the curriculum and maintaining up‑to‑date information for parents, pupils and the wider public through its website. The school provides a range of dedicated facilities to support diverse learning needs. A Nurture Room was established in 2021 to offer a calm, supportive space for younger children, and two Autism Support Units (first opened in 2017 and a second in 2019) enable specialised instruction for pupils with additional needs. With a staff complement of around twenty teachers, including dedicated class and autism‑unit teachers, the school is well‑resourced to deliver a balanced curriculum that includes strong emphasis on sports, science, mathematics and the arts, all within a caring, inclusive Catholic framework.
