About
St. Michael’s House Special National School, situated on Ballymun Road in Dublin 9, is a dedicated special‑needs primary school that provides a stimulating, child‑centred learning environment for pupils with a range of additional needs. The school follows a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum that is adapted to each child’s abilities, learning styles and individual requirements. Multidisciplinary clinical teams work alongside teachers and support staff to foster personal, social and academic development, encouraging independence and achievement in a caring and sensitive setting. Recent investment has expanded the school’s capacity with six new classrooms and a purpose‑built outdoor space designed for primary‑age learners. These facilities support a variety of hands‑on activities, from creative arts to practical life skills, and enhance the inclusive ethos of the school community. The school prides itself on a strong partnership between pupils, families, staff and the local PDS team, creating a supportive network that promotes full participation in school life and celebrates each child’s progress.
