About

St. Peter Apostle Junior National School is a co‑educational primary school situated in the Letts Field area of Neilstown, Clondalkin (D22 AK09). Established in 1979, the school serves a catchment that includes the local Neilstown community and welcomes pupils from a range of backgrounds. With a staff complement of around thirty teachers and support personnel, the school provides education for roughly 284 children across fifteen mainstream classes, three specialised autism classes in the Butterfly Suite, and Early Start provision for younger learners. The school’s educational philosophy centres on an inclusive, child‑centred approach that seeks to nurture each child’s academic, social, emotional, spiritual and intellectual development. Facilities include a large hall, a sensory room, an occupational‑therapy room, showers, a kitchen and spacious classrooms within the Butterfly Suite, designed specifically for pupils on the autism spectrum. The school also promotes strong partnerships with parents and external agencies, offering tailored learning experiences and a supportive environment that encourages confidence, kindness and respect.
