About
St Saviours National School is a vibrant primary institution that welcomes children from Early Start through to 6th Class. The school places a strong emphasis on collaborative learning and personal growth, encouraging pupils to develop academically, socially and creatively within a supportive community environment. A distinctive feature of the school is its Early Start programme – the only Department of Education‑led, primary‑teacher‑run initiative in the South East – which is designed to give children the best possible foundation as they enter the primary system. The school’s facilities support a rich, well‑rounded curriculum. The Diegmann Library, opened in 2004, houses approximately 7,200 books and includes a dedicated junior storytelling room. Every class visits the library weekly to borrow and return books, fostering a love of reading from an early age. In addition to its extensive literary resources, the school offers a range of sports and extracurricular activities, providing pupils with opportunities to develop physical skills and teamwork. The educational approach combines a structured, teacher‑led framework with an ethos of “learning together”. By integrating the Early Start programme, a robust library service, and a broad extracurricular programme, St Saviours N.S. aims to nurture confident, inquisitive learners prepared for the challenges of later education.
