About
Swords Educate Together National School (SETNS) is an equality‑based, co‑educational primary school that welcomes children of all backgrounds. The school follows the Educate Together ethos, placing the child at the centre of learning and operating democratically with strong pupil voice through a Student Council, Green Team and Wellbeing Team. Teaching is active and holistic, encouraging curiosity, creativity and social responsibility while maintaining high standards of academic achievement. The school moved into a purpose‑built, modern building in June 2011, providing spacious classrooms, specialist areas and outdoor spaces that support a wide range of activities. With over 400 pupils, the community includes dedicated teachers, special‑needs assistants, support staff and caretakers who work together to create a safe, nurturing environment. Emphasis is placed on respect, collaboration and the development of the whole child, preparing learners for lifelong learning and active citizenship.
History
The school opened in 2001 and quickly established a warm, caring environment nurtured by pupils, families and the Board of Management. In June 2011 the school relocated to a new, purpose‑built building, further enhancing its capacity to deliver the Educate Together philosophy and support a growing enrolment of over 400 children.
