The school provides a balanced curriculum that combines the Irish national syllabus with a strong emphasis on the Irish language and cultural heritage, reflected in its bilingual name and community activities. It offers both mainstream classes and a dedicated Special Class, ensuring inclusive education for children of varying needs and abilities. The school operates from its modern premises on New Road, which were opened in 1986 and feature purpose‑built classrooms, a playground and spaces for extracurricular activities such as sport and the arts. A proactive Board of Management oversees the school’s development, while regular communication with families is maintained through a website, Instagram presence and newsletters. The school’s ethos promotes a supportive learning environment, encouraging parental involvement and fostering a sense of community among pupils, staff and local stakeholders.
