About
Wicklow Educate Together National School is a co‑educational, child‑centred primary school operating under the Educate Together patronage. Its ethos is built on four pillars – equality, child‑centred learning, democratic participation and co‑education – and the school’s mission, “No Child is an Outsider”, guides all teaching and learning activities. The curriculum is delivered in a supportive environment that encourages pupils to develop academically, socially and emotionally while respecting diversity and fostering inclusive values. The school occupies a purpose‑built campus on Hawkstown Road, opened in 2016, and is organised as a vertical structure with two classes at each level. In addition to mainstream provision, the school offers three specialised classes for autistic children, reflecting its commitment to meeting a wide range of educational needs. Facilities include dedicated learning spaces, outdoor play areas and resources that support both the standard curriculum and specialised programmes, ensuring a well‑rounded experience for all pupils.
History
Founded in 2003, Wicklow Educate Together National School moved into its purpose‑built premises on Hawkstown Road in 2016, expanding to accommodate a vertical class structure and specialised provision for autistic learners.
